Annual Meeting Set for July 20 & 21

 

     The 2018 Annual Meeting of Pea River Electric cooperative will be Friday and Saturday, July 20 & 21.

     The annual meeting will be held in two sessions to accommodate the greatest number of cooperative members.  A business meeting will be held Friday, July 20 at 6:00 p.m. at the Ozark First Assembly of God Church.  The Church is located at the intersection of Roy Parker Road and Hwy. 105 in Ozark.  Please note:this is a different  location this year and starts at an earlier time than in pervious years.  The purpose of this business session will be to discuss and pass on reports of the previous fiscal year, receive annual meeting and operational reports, and any other business that may be properly presented.  Registration for the Friday night session will begin at 5:00 p.m.

     The Saturday information sessions on July 21 will be conducted by the director of the respective district, along with cooperative employees, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 12 noon.  

     All members are welcome and encouraged to attend whichever of the sessions listed below that is most convenient for them:

Barbour County:  Baker Hill Water Authority Building, Geroge C. Wallace Heritage Building in Clio, Old Louisville School Building, Greens Crossroads Volunteer Fire Department

Dale County:  Level Plains Community Building, Clayhatchee Community House, Co-op Headquarters Building in Ozark, Ariton Fire & Rescue Building, G.W. Long School in Skipperville, Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Midland City

Henry County:  Old Zion Baptist Church Fellowship Hall in Wills Crossroads, Edwin Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, Haleburg City Hall, Old Center Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, Tolbert Baptist Church Fellowship Hall

  Each member who registers in person at either the Friday or Saturday sessions will be given a $15.00 credit on the following month’s electric bill and a door prize.  At the close of the annual meeting, each registered member will have a chance at winning one of the three grand prizes, which are outdoor electric grills.

     Remember:  You must register in person to be eligible for the $15.00 credit and to be eligible for the prize drawings.  All cooperative members will be receiving a registration card in the mail prior to the meeting.  Members should bring this card with them to register at the meeting.  There will be no early registration during working hours on Friday, July 20.
